Sources and Fact-Checking Policy

Oplus Property Guides uses a source-first publishing process.

We prefer official and primary sources. For UAE real estate pages, this can include DLD, RERA, ADREC, DARI, SCAD, government portals, official developer sites and official market reports. For global pages, we use official land registries, national statistics offices, government portals, developer pages and recognized real estate market reports.

Oplus files treat official sources as the named article sources and competitor portals as reference-only sources unless a fact can be verified elsewhere.

Source hierarchy

  1. Official government or authority pages
  2. Official land department or real estate regulator pages
  3. Official developer pages
  4. Official market reports from recognized firms
  5. Oplus internal notes, where based on real client or market work
  6. Competitor portals only for background checks, not as final proof

What we verify

We verify figures such as fees, permit rules, ownership rules, mortgage thresholds, rent rules, service charges, project details, handover dates and market data before placing them in a guide.

When data is unavailable

If a data point cannot be verified from a suitable source, we do not present it as a confirmed fact.

Source dates

When a page relies on changing data, we aim to show when the page was last verified. Readers should check official sources before making legal, tax, financing or purchase decisions.
